Meet our Designers - Sarabeth Burke
Our last (but certainly not least!) designer is Sarabeth Burke!
Sarabeth is an avid scrapbooker who lives in NY with her hubby of 4 years and their pup. Her mission this year is to organize her pictures and albums so that she can catch up with her layouts. When she's not scrapbooking Sarabeth loves to read, run, travel, spend time with family and friends and of course take pictures.
Besides her design work for SMS, Sarabeth designs for Prairie Fairy, In a Scrap Creations and the "Sew Many" blogs - Sew Many Cards, Sew Many Layouts and Sew Many Challenges. She was a former DT member at Die Cuts R Us, Scrap That Poetry and Stamp Sistah's. Sarabeth's blog, Scrap Happie, is chock full of great ideas and inspiration for scrapbookers and she is always sharing her creations.
When Sarabeth applied for SMS Design Team she sent me a link to her gallery so I could get an ida of the breadth of her work. I was not dissapointed! Her gallery is eye candy - full of bright and fun cards, altered items, layouts, tags, ATC's, notebooks and home decor items. WOW! Here are a couple of her projects that caught my eye:

First this layouts. I loved the die cut shape of the mod paper, multi-colored letters and the oversize photo with the fun doodly frame.

And this cute accordian style card/mini-book just made me smile. I really like the quote that continues through all four pages, the whimsical embellishments and the muted colors. So lovely!
When Sarabeth got her hands on our Artisan Journaling spots, she incorporated them into a card and layout in her unique, funky style.

Such a cute title - I love the mix of words, numbers and pictures mounted on the journaling spot to anchor it all together.

The bright colors and the addition of stamped owl icons makes this a very non-traditional winter page - but what fun! What is traditional is how Sarabeth used the journaling spot - actually for her journaling! SUch a happy layout about a childhood memory.
Sarabeth also designs sketches (we call them Page Plans here at SMS!) and later this month we will be featuring two of her designs. We will also have new products debuting on the first day of spring, lots more great ideas from our wonderful DT, and more articles and tutorials. In case you thought we forgot, our next organizational post will be up in a couple of days and later this month DT member Michelle Roycroft (who is in the process of moving houses right now!) will share some ideas, tips and tricks to help you get your scrap stash through a move with ease! There is lots in store for the rest of March, so make sure you bookmark our site, subscribe to our blog or sign up for our monthly newsletter so you don't miss out on anything!
