1-2-3 Scrapbook Layout March 2017

Hello friends! Huge apologies for the delay in getting this month's 1-2-3 Layout and Video posted. March was a write-off for our family in terms of health - we were all ill, and I relapsed with that darn Strep Throat that knocked me out back in February. But I'm on my feet just in time to post the March layout before the month ends!

If you're not familiar with my 1-2-3 Layouts, they use just 1 piece of double sided patterned paper2 pieces of Cardstock (or CM Album Pages) for the base, and we make the entire layout with just 3 cuts. Each month I give provide you with a free printable with the sketch, cutting guide and a sample finished layout for inspiration. You can download, print it and follow along with it to create a great two page layout. This month's sketch has room for five photos, journaling, title and embellishments, but of course you can add more or less photos to suit your needs. Here's the sketch:

This month I'm using the adorable new Woodland Whimsy Collection from Creative Memories! I am officially in LOVE with the paper designs and the all the sweet woodland critters! There are actually two versions of the collection - one for baby boys and one for baby girls - but the whole thing works beautifully together with two Paper Packs, two sets of Stickers, two Slide-in Packs, a fun Embellishment Pack and two gorgeous foiled Albums with or without Fast2Fab Refill Pages. Even though it officially was designed as a baby collection, the papers have no "baby-ish" designs and they will work beautifully for so many different themes and projects. I'm using one piece of the Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy paper that features a stylized mountain pattern on one side and a navy mini-dot on the other to go with some photos taken outdoors in the woods behind our cabin. Grab a beverage and sit back to see how fast this wonderful whimsical woodland layout comes together!

Isn't that fox absolutely adorable?! Sooooo cute!

The 1-2-3 process is so quick that after making the cuts during filming the video, it only took about another 10-15 minutes to complete the rest of the layout. I used the Denim Blues ABC/123 Stickers for the title, and because the navy letters didn't really stand out from the patterned background, I cut a small strip of white cardstock to mount them on, rounded the corners with the Two Way Corner Rounder and did a free-hand outline with my Brown Dual-Tip Pen. I did the same thing to create a little journal box as my writing would not have been easy to read on the Evergreen Cardstock I used as the base for the layout. I finished it off with a few of the die-cut embellishments and stickers (some of which I popped up off the layout with Foam Squares for added dimension). Here's a closer look:

All the products shown can be purchased on my CM website, and you can download your FREE copy of the sketch and cutting guide here so that you can refer to it as you create your own version of the layout. I'm so excited to see what you create - please feel free to share it on my Facebook Group page or leave a comment below!

Happy Scrapping!
