How to make a Traveller's Notebook Inspired Mini-Album!

Hi everyone! My friends and I over at Creative Life Scrapbooking are having a PJ Party tonight! Given the popularity of Traveler's Notebooks right now, I decided to create a Mini-Album with a Traveler's Notebook feeling. You can watch my process in the video below, and then check out the supplies, measurements and instructions you'll need to create your own!


These are the supplies (and measurements) as outlined in the video that you'll need to create your own Traveler's Notebook inspired mini-album:

Choose one piece of 12" x 12" Cardstock for your cover (I used Navy). Score at 5" and 10", then turn and score along the bottom edge at 3". Fold along all score lines then cut along the fold lines to remove the small rectangle in the lower right hand corner as seen in photo below. Round corners of the flap if desired. Fold bottom pieces up and adhere along edges only, leaving two pockets for tickets, photos, memorabilia or journal tags. Fold notebook in half, then fold flap over the cover.

For your pages, cut two pieces of White Cardstock or six pieces of white printer paper to 8.5" x 9.5". Score and fold in the half.

To bind your notebook, stack the cover and pages together and staple or punch holes where desired along the spine. If punching holes, you can use twine, ribbon or elastic cording to bind the pages and cover together. Add a tie or elastic to slip over the notebook to hold the flap in place.

Decorate as desired with paper pieces and strips cut from the Explorer Paper Pack along with the Explorer Stickers. Use additional cardstock in color of your choice (I used Navy and Brown) to cut out photo mats. The sizes I cut were 4" x 6", 4" x 4" and 2.5" x 2.5".

Add photos and journaling to complete your mini-album! How fun! Here's a look at each of my pages:
