March Recap: Ideas and Inspiration during Quarantine
Apologies for the lack of blog posts in March! Wow...our world certainly turned upside down last month didn't it? And while I upped my game in terms of creating and providing content & inspiration, I am so sorry that I neglected to post links here.
Whether you call it social-distancing, isolation, stay-in-place, shelter-in-place, quarantine or lockdown, we are all pretty much in the same boat - we are all staying at home to help stop the spread of Covid-19 and to keep ourselves and our families safe and healthy. Many scrappers are taking advantage of this time to get LOTS of photos onto pages, so I have been trying to provide as much inspiration as I can! Here's what I've been working on:
Play and Create Series: This ongoing series of videos offers quick little projects with ideas and techniques to use the products and supplies you have on hand. There are lots of different ideas for layouts and projects, but I think my favorites were the free "hello SPRING" cut-file I created for you (shown above) and the DIY speckled Easter Eggs created with the Dot Tip Pens (shown below)! You can see the entire series on my YouTube Channel, and I'm also posting them on my Instagram and Facebook.
March 1-2-3 Layout: I used CM's pretty Easter Blessings Theme Pack to create the March 1-2-3 Layout! You can see the video and download the sketch here. And, although they had to close temporarily due to an order from their state government, I'm so happy that Creative Memories is able to ship again! If you've been running low on your scrapbooking essentials, you can once again place your orders on my CM website and have them shipped directly to your door! Hooray!
March Sketch Bundle: Each month students in my SYS20/20 Online Course receive a Sketch Bundle as part of their monthly lesson, and then the sketches are available mid-month to everyone at a small cost. In March I decided to provide the sketches for free! You can get your copy here, and if you like what you see and want to join our year long class, there is a coupon code inside to save on your registration!
NSD 2020 Course and 1-2-3 Layout Guide: I had a great time teaching this course LIVE this past weekend! If you missed it, you can still access it as a self-paced course where you'll receive the 1-2-3 Layout Guide and can watch 8 video lessons to complete six double-page layouts in about two hours! If you are just interested in the NSD 2020 1-2-3 Layout Guide without the video lessons, it is now available here.
And, if you haven't already, make sure to subscribe to the OCM FREE Members Library. Once you've entered your email address and created a password, you'll be able to access over 40 different free resources! Go here to subscribe and enjoy exploring the sketches, printables and projects there!
Going forward in April I will be continuing the Play and Create Series and of course will have a 1-2-3 for you! I'm also hoping to post some tips for filming and livestreaming (especially aimed at CM Advisors), the Spring Medley 1-2-3 Layout Guide, some projects featuring new CM products (launching April 13th!) and a Layout Guide for the new Advisor Paper Pack (also launching April 13th). And to finish off the month, make sure to join us on the Creative Life Scrapbooking FB Page on Friday April 24th for a PJ Party where all nine of us on the CLS Team will be sharing projects featuring the CM Theme Packs!
Although the best place to stay up to date with what I'm working on is the OCM Facebook Page, I will endeavor to do a better job of posting here as well!
I so appreciate your support...I love this community of scrapbookers and papercrafters, and I hope you find a little joy in some of the ideas I post. Take care of yourselves and your family, and please stay safe, well and healthy.
Happy Scrapping!
Thanks for posting here, Noreen! It is much appreciated. I have a question about the NSD2020: in 2019, we were able to purchase a pack of precut NSD papers to easily complete your page layouts. I read somewhere that you are planning to make a similar packet available for NSD2020, but I can’t find it. There are no listings under "physical product". Will this packet be available this year, and if so, when?
ReplyDeleteThanks again for all you do for us!
