February 1-2-3 Layout
Hello!
I have February's 1-2-3 layout to share with you today and I'm excited that it is featured once again on our monthly Creative Memories Virtual Crop! We were overwhelmed by the participation in our last Virtual Crop and I think this month will be no different! So. Much. Fun!
In honor of Valentines Day this month, our theme is "Love is in the Air" and all the Creative Memories Content Contributors are featuring layouts and projects made with CM's new Watercolor Love Papers and Embellishments. They are so gorgeous! We shared lots of ideas for using the products on our Blog Hop this past week and we've got more inspiration for you today, but you can certainly use any papers that work for you for this or any of the sketches I share with you!
I've created this month's 1-2-3 layout and card sketch featuring - what else? - hearts!
The layout has a sweet little pocket heart to hold a love note or cute picture as well as some heart embellishments. I've got a layout sketch for you...
...and a card sketch, that also features hearts!
Remember that for the layout you'll only need 1 piece of double sided pattered paper, 2 pieces of cardstock (or scrapbook pages) and we'll make our 3 cuts based on the cutting guide. Since we are making a fun little heart pocket, we're actually going to cheat a little and make more than 3 cuts, but I'll walk you through all that in the video below. I'll also offer a couple of variations to use in case you don't have Creative Memories Custom Cutting System (which, by the way, you absolutely should get!!!)
You'll also see that the card comes together so simply. In case you miss it on the video, all the measurements are right on the card sketch itself (don't forget to download it here!) so all you need to do is choose your cardstock and paper, cut the pieces to size, and assemble the card. Note that I used the pink and wine cardstock from our the Shades of Red Paper Pack which coordinates with the Watercolor Love products perfectly! Grab a cup of coffee or tea and enjoy...
