January 1-2-3 Layout
I promised in my post about 2016 goals that I would give you a 1-2-3 layout each and every month this year! I also mentioned that one of my jobs as a Creative Memories Content Contributor will be to create these layouts for our monthly Virtual Crops. Well, today's the day - January 16 - and its our FIRST Virtual Crop!
If you haven't already joined the crop on Facebook, make sure to head over to the Event right now to see what's happening. (And if you are finding this post way after January 16, don't worry...all the posts will be archived so you can still check out all the fun, inspiration, tips and tricks!)
I love making and sharing these 1-2-3 layouts because you only need 1 piece of double sided patterned paper, 2 pieces of cardstock and you create the layout by making only 3 cuts! These layouts are fast, easy and economical, too. Here is the sketch I've created for you this month:
Normally I provide a link where you can download the 1-2-3 sketch, but in an effort to make things easier for you, I've gathered the sketch, cutting guide and a bonus card sketch onto ONE document so you can download, print it and refer to it as you create your layout! Much easier! You can get it right HERE.
I also stepped out of my comfort zone a bit and made a video (yes, my first video tutorial!) that shows you step by step how I used the sketch to create this layout:
Now take a look at the video to see how it came together. The video was fun to make - hope you enjoy it!
Here's a few close ups of the layout details...
Since you didn't get to see the finished card in the video, here's a look at the cards I made and some of the finishing touches I gave them...
One of the really fun things about our Virtual Crop is that all the Content Contributors created layouts based on this sketch! It's so neat to see how each person can use the same sketch and make such different layouts! Don't forget to check out all our layouts as well as card and border designs on the Creative Memories Virtual Crop Facebook Event.
And, as if lots of ideas and inspiration isn't enough, Creative Memories is giving away a fabulous prize as part of the Virtual Crop! Look what you can win:

Now, head on over the Virtual Crop and have a great time! I'll "see" you there!
