Choosing a Scrapbook Album
You may be tempted to jump in and create your first page without thinking about the scrapbook album you will use…that can be decided upon later, right? Not so! By choosing your album first you will know what size pages to make and what type of pages and page protectors you will be using.
There are many styles of albums to choose from including strap hinge (this is the style of album Creative Memories manufactures), Post bound (there are many, many manufacturers) and three ring (economical choice, especially for standard 8.5 x 11 pages).
Choose an album and page protectors with word descriptors such as acid and lignin free, photo-safe, archival quality and buffered– these will ensure that your photos stay safe inside the album. Avoid page protectors made of PVC (polyvinylchloride) and ANY magnetic or sticky album.
